Created at the turn of the 20th century, this four-acre pleasure garden was abandoned in the 1960s and left untended. Despite some careful work by its owners in the 1980s, behind the 15ft high boundary walls nature had taken over. Trees, ferns, brambles and dense vegetation covered what remained of both its planting layout and built structures.
